  Great gourmet food with very high standard. In fact, lavishly. Everything made from the bottom of amazing ingredients with a good story. A big difference from the traditional hotel kitchen. Superb staff with great enthusiasm for what they do and especially Jesper (souschef). Thank you Jesper for the great tour

  During my solo trip to Copenhagen, I stayed at the AC Hotel Bella Sky. Restaurant Basalt is conveniently located inside the hotel. I visited the restaurant with no preconceived notions. I didn't even open the menu. I allowed the waiter to choose my courses as well as the wine pairing. This was one of the most flavorful meals that I've ever tasted. I was so impressed by the quality of ingredients and the chef's attention to detail. The prices were great too. I would have been more than willing to pay twice as much. The meal, the ambiance, the ingredients, the waiters, and the chef all deserve 5 stars!

  Fint præsentation. Ringe mad. En kylling bliver ikke beder af at blive hængt op i en pind banket fast stykke 75x75 sort malet stolpe. En halv jordskok og et stykke kål er ikke grønsager... Det er hvad børn spise når forældre tvinger dem. Mørbraren var sej og dolken men få til at dolke kødet med bliver ikke skarb bare fordi den er i en knogle. Desserten var gode og sjove. Man bliver mæt så det er ok, men præsentation gør maden pinlig.

  It was an great evening, felt like an family evening. We got the chef's table and so we participate in the wonderful kitchen interaction. The 5 course menu was a nice stroll through the menu. Wonderfully combined with a great selection of wines. Totally 5 star evening! Thank you

  Food is definitely worth 5 points, but the service not. We had pork belly and beef tenderloin. Pork belly is really great, I strongly recommend it. I asked the beef to be medium, but it is more like well-done. It is still pretty good. A waitress asked us about food, so I frankly said the steak is a little bit over-cooked. She said: "There is nothing I can do. You should have said something right away." Well I didn't say anything because the food is still good, otherwise I would have changed it for sure. Since I was asked, I just wanted to tell the truth. Anyway, it wouldn't be my first choice anymore.
